FAIRBURY COMMUNITY SALE
SATURDAY, April 28th, 2012
10:00 A.M.
SALE WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE
SALE HEADQUARTERS
Sale Headquarters will be at the Chamber of Commerce office located at the corner of Third and Locust. There will also be an information center located in the auction truck parked at the intersection of Third & Locust.
SALE SPONSOR
Sponsoring the sale for the 61st year is the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from this year’s sale will be used for special projects of the Chamber. Items may be donated for the event. Please notify the person who registers you at the seller check-in if you would like to donate items.
SALE DAY INFORMATION
Items will be accepted starting at 6:00 a.m. Items to be sold must be in place by 9:30 a.m. that day. Enter sale area at the intersection of First & Locust and proceed east. Watch for signs. All items for one seller will be tagged as one lot, but sold individually or in-groups as needed.
SALE TERMS
$2.00 Fee Per Buyers Number
$3.00 per item (or group of items) sold up to $29.00, 15% thereafter. All vehicles must have a clear title deposited at the Sale Headquarters prior to sale along with $15.00, which will be applied toward commission if sold. $10.00 will be returned if vehicle does not sell. Owners should represent their merchandise. Seller is responsible for buy back at a fee of $1.00, must show buyers number. All major appliances will have a $15.00 deposit due at the time of check-in, which will be refunded if the item is sold or reclaimed by the seller. Car Tires require a $5.00 deposit. All payouts for items sold will be made the week following the sale, including refunds for vehicles not sold and appliance deposits. No firearms or hazardous materials will be sold. No LP tanks, tractor or truck tires will be accepted. Checks will be mailed within 10 business days.
The Chamber and Auctioneers do not assume any responsibility for misrepresentation, accidents or missing items before or after purchase. Pick up your item at the time of purchase and pay promptly-Cash or good check. Announcements the day of the sale take precedence over printed material. Items not picked up 2 hours after the sale will be discarded.

FAIRBURY GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE

PROCEEDS FOR COMMUNITY PROJECT
Friends of Dominy Library have collected hundreds of books for
the spring bi-annual book sale. Book titles cover many
categories including children's books, Christian, how-to, mysteries,
self-improvement, history, older children, teen and young adults. You
should be able to find a book of interest for every member of your
household.
The spring book sale will be held at Paternoster Ford Garage
on Oak St. on April 26, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., April 27, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and April 28 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition to rooms full of
books, Dominy Library is selling selected items. Come early to
browse tables, shelves, cabinets, plush toys, Christmas decorations and
many more items. Of special interest are antique library card
file drawers that had been used in the century old original library. It
promises to be an interesting event in the Fairbury landmark Paternoster Ford
building. Proceeds benefit Dominy Library.
